Cloud Systems Engineer
This is a hybrid position requiring proximity to one of our eligible office locations which include Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Columbus, Memphis, Baltimore, Phoenix and Denver.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure delivery of standard technical implementations by working to deliver solutions, systems, managed services and virtual environments that are sold to clients
- Follow implementation guidelines, processes and procedures to ensure Service Delivery standards and quality are met
- Ensure appropriate documentation of the implementation is generated, maintained and delivered with the implemented services for effective hand-off and transition to the Operations Support Center (OSC)
- Communicate with project managers, directly with clients and internal staff at regular intervals to ensure expectations are set and that appropriate attention is being paid to client projects
- Off Hours availability for client migrations
- 3+ years as a systems administrator or engineer responsible for Managed Service Provider (preferred) or Enterprise
- Demonstrates a level of competency with many of the following technologies:
- Demonstrated experience performing Physical to Virtual and Virtual to Virtual migrations from private and public cloud environments.
- Demonstrated experience implementing Disaster Recovery solutions, excluding backup solutions.
- VMware vSphere v6.7 through v9 with both HCI and storage array backed environments.
- vCloud Foundation, vCloud Director and NSX-T are a plus
- Experience with Nutanix Prism Central, Prism Element, Move, and AHV
- Experience with Data Protection technology
- MFA such as Azure AD / Entra ID, OneLogin, Okta, DUO
- Modern Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, Remote Desktop Services
- Basic Linux commands (primary focus on Red Hat, Ubuntu, and Rocky)
- Basic networking principles including subnetting, NATs, firewall rules, and VLANs
- The ideal candidate may possess one or multiple industry technical certifications from IT-related vendors like Microsoft, Nutanix, and VMware
- Ability to prioritize and be productive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills including the ability to identify and resolve challenging situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding service and response time working with clients
- Passion for learning technologies and curious for new ideas
- Flexibility to be available for scheduled night and weekend implementation projects when required
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or Associate’s degree with relevant work experience is preferred
- Applicants without a degree but with demonstrated experience will be considered
